It is rumored that Bosai Minerals Group will build a 1 million ton electrolytic aluminum project in Indonesia.

Overall, Indonesia currently has 11 new electrolytic aluminum projects with a total production capacity of approximately 13 million tons.

In recent years, China's electrolytic aluminum production capacity has gradually approached the ceiling of 45 million tons, and the expansion of domestic production capacity in China is limited in the future. However, Indonesia has abundant bauxite resources, with a newly built alumina production capacity of 25.4 million tons, providing sufficient raw material foundation for future electrolytic aluminum projects in Indonesia. The local market demand is also gradually increasing. Under the joint influence of the above reasons, Chinese electrolytic aluminum enterprises are gradually going abroad. According to statistics, the capacity of electrolytic aluminum projects built by China in Indonesia has reached 10.9 million tons, accounting for 84% of Indonesia's electrolytic aluminum production capacity plan.
